About

This is the blog of Square Mile Coffee Roasters.  You can find information about new arrivals, new items in the webshop and events that we are running that are open to both the public and the industry.

Square Mile Coffee Roasters is a multi award winning coffee company founded by two people with a collective 17 years of experience in the coffee industry, spanning from barista work, machinery support and coffee training to import, cupping and roasting. We are James Hoffmann (World Barista Champion 2007) and Anette Moldvaer (World Coffee Cup Tasting Champion 2007). We are currently focused on wholesaling our coffee.  We’re now a team of eleven, including John, Jess, Flick, Marty, Sang Ho, Gary, Oli, Liam and Duane, with a wealth of experience and passion for what we do.

We want to make London famous for good coffee. We source, buy, import, roast and deliver the best coffee we can get a hold of, and we never stop asking ourselves how we can make it even better. We try to build a London coffee scene and do our best to contribute to the global scene.

We are members of:

Cup of Excellence

Seciality Coffee Association of Europe

Roasters Guild

Slow Food

The International Women’s Coffee Alliance

Subscribe to the RSS feed, let us know what you think of coffees you’ve tasted and hopefully if you have questions then answers will be here.  If not then feel free to drop us a line.
