Muungano Campaign Update

With the dust now settled and all contributions counted, we’re delighted to say that with the help of all our customers, we smashed the goal of our Muungano fundraising campaign earlier this year.

In total, a fantastic £6,911 was raised; well above the £5,000 goal. We’re now in the process of sending these funds to the co-op so they can use them to build a new field of much-needed drying tables.

Needless to say, we owe you all a massive thank you. Whether you bought a bag of the coffee from our website, a cafe that served it, or a cafe customer that paid an extra few pence on your morning coffee. Thank you. Without your support, this would not have been possible.

Extra special thanks go out to a few of our wholesale customers who wholeheartedly bought into the project and each raised over £100 towards the cause. Namely, these are Ginger & White, Rosie & Joe, Second Shot Coffee, Double Brew Coffee, Uluwatu Specialty Coffees and Proper Order Coffee Co.

We’ll be saying thank you to each of these cafes with special plaques that will be sent out to DR Congo to be affixed to the completed drying beds.

All that’s left to say is thank you once again and that we’ll share images of the new beds on our social media feeds when we get them!
