Possibly the best kept secret in London, mostly due to its location. Way off the charts of most coffee people/food bloggers.
Don’t miss: The Big Breakfast (especially the homemade relish), the vintage cinema seating, a great mural, great coffee, finding an oasis in the oddest of places. I love how much the owners did without spending on pointless things. Love just hanging out here.

It looks soo cool! Wish I lived out in East London again….
This is a great place to go. The food is great, the staff is very friendly and they always serve you with a smile.
…And it’s also a very inspiring place to work.
Love this place! Gorgeous food, friendly service, and a really warm atmosphere. It’s completely cool, and totally unpretentious. It’s a bit off the beaten track for most, but well worth discovering!
I don’t think there’s anywhere else in London like this place. Utterly cool. Amazing coffee and food and adorable people. Everyone must go … and yet no one must go – it’s my secret!
Had breakfast on Saturday just gone; eggs benedict with smoked salmon and a capp & single espresso. Fantastic everything!
Great service, great coffee, great food and loved the location!
Really hope these guys do well, the capp was one of the best i’ve had in London
I went at about 10 last sunday and it was open… the mumbai scrambled eggs and edpresso I had were wicked…
This is my favourite cafe in London: great food and coffee, wonderful atmosphere, and above all, genuinely friendly service. I wish them every success.
The Counter is the next door neighbour of my friend Angela, and I love it! The staff are so friendly and the coffee is fantastic, wonderful seedy bagels and quality bacon, love the stripped down style and the changing art. It’s my favourite cafe and I’m a bit of an expert….
